The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'Tarcarrio', to clarify the alleged fraudulent use of a credit card, which has been settled with the identification, location, detention and subsequent judicial disposal of a neighbor of Torre Pacheco as alleged perpetrator of the facts.
The actions were initiated last April, when the Civil Guard initiated an investigation following the presentation of a complaint in which the injured said he had received a letter from a hypermarket claiming the amount of 1,000 euros for charges on a credit card and that he had not received a card from that store and, therefore, had not used it.
Apparently, the author of the facts appropriated a letter addressed to a neighbor of Torre Pacheco that contained a credit card of a hypermarket.
Later he made several charges to the card that caused the commercial establishment to send a second letter to the owner informing him of the charge of around 1,000 euros.
Effective Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita carried out a series of inquiries to verify the facts reported and, where appropriate, clarify them.
As a result of the investigation, the Civil Guards found out that the credit card had been used to extract money in cash at a Torre Pacheco ATM and at a Torre Pacheco service station to refuel a vehicle, as well as making purchases. on three occasions in the hypermarket itself.
During the investigation, the agents obtained indications regarding the alleged perpetrator of the events that allowed them to identify him, for which a search device was established that has culminated with his location, arrest and subsequent judicial presentation as the alleged perpetrator of the scam crimes and discovery and disclosure of secrets.
The Spanish detainee, 36 years old and neighbor of Torre Pacheco and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier (Murcia).
