During 6 months, 5 young people have worked in the City Council of Torre Pacheco through two projects of Local Public Employment for beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service.
These projects are co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The contracts that end today began on December 28 and have been full-time.
The project "Local Enterprise and Technologies" has aimed at boosting the business and commercial fabric of the municipality and encouraging the use of technologies between businesses and citizens.
The 2 young people hired, 1 technician in operations of computer systems and 1 business technique and tourist activities have performed their functions in the Local Development Councils and Tourism, and the computer service of the City, with a subsidized amount of 19,712, 88 euros
Within the activities carried out thanks to this project, on-site sessions have been launched from the Employment Department to carry out courses of the FORM @ CARM online training platform where these young people have participated as support monitors to solve doubts about functionality , access to the platform and contents.
These sessions have allowed the students to know this platform free and available to all, which is managed by the Integra Foundation and is funded by the CARM and the European Union through FEDER funds, as well as its training offer and the possibilities it offers, which It will allow you to expand your training, making others that best suit your needs or work profile.
The project "Culture and Youth Services" subsidized with the amount of 27,105.24 euros;
It has made possible the realization of leisure, free time and cultural activities for adolescents, young people and the general population, some of them carried out in this Youth Space but also in educational centers and in the library.
Three young people have been hired for this project: 1 monitor of recreational and entertainment activities, 1 concierge and 1 support technician of cultural and artistic activities, who has supported the tasks of stagehand at the Performing Arts Center.
Gymkanas, cosplay workshop, invigoration of students in the secondary schools of the municipality and support in the rest of activities organized from the Youth Council or the library are some of the functions carried out by these young people.
In the daily work the young people hired have had to acquire knowledge and new skills- For some it has been their first job opportunity related to the training they had;
We hope that these months have served everyone to improve their curriculum, expand their scope of job search at the time of continuing their future incorporations into the labor market, know the work that takes place in the departments or municipal areas in which They have done their job and ultimately take advantage of the opportunities offered by this type of project.
The National Youth Guarantee System is a European initiative, co-financed by the European Social Fund, which aims to help improve the employability and access to the labor market of young people between 16 and 29 years old, who do not study or work, nor have they done it the previous day, offering actions and measures in various areas or areas: professional guidance, job information and support in the search for employment, skills development, skills and attitudes, incentives for companies to hire young people enrolled in Youth Guarantee, or support to the entrepreneurial initiative of those registered young people who opt for self-employment.
The main actor in Youth Guarantee are the young people who register and who decide to get involved from the first moment, by going to the Information and Guidance services of the Youth Guarantee and keeping active in the search for a job.
Requirements that met these 5 young people, who in addition to being enrolled in Youth Guarantee were registered as job seekers in the office SEF Torre-Pacheco.
