The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León informed that this park is part of the Sustainable Infrastructures Plan, charged to the surplus for the year 2017, and currently almost all the works are completed, "a good economic management that can be moved for the use and enjoyment of the neighbors ";
In addition, he pointed out that thanks to the efforts of all the neighbors, and with a time of austerity, the work is reflected in an improvement of the service, with resurfacing of streets in all districts of the municipality, rehabilitation of gardens, and construction of new areas children, as is the case of the Parque de la Plaza Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores, reiterating that "it is very gratifying to see how these investments are enjoyed by the residents of Torre Pacheco".
