The reception and welcome took place last Tuesday, in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall of Torre Pacheco, the Corpo Bandistico di Colognola ai Colli of Italy and the Friends of Music Association of Torre Pacheco, participants in the Erasmus Project + "The music tool between cultures II ".
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the Deputy Mayor, Carlos López were in charge of welcoming the young participants in the project.
The Friends of Music Association welcomes this week, the young Italian partners of this project, to let them know the Region and its gastronomic, cultural and principally its people, performing a concert in the municipality for both associations in this project , as a result of two years of work, the president of the association, Isidoro Jesús Martínez, was very proud of this twinning between both countries through this project that has as its protagonist the music of both formations.
After this reception the representatives of the Italian band gave the Mayor of the municipality, as well as the band of the Friends of Music Association a souvenir of their stay in this municipality, in the same way the mayor of Communication and Finance, Carlos López He gave as a token of appreciation a detail to the Italian band and the mayor of that town, who will receive it after the return of the students to Italy, these are prints of emblematic places of the municipality, made by artists from the region.
A total of 22 young people from the Friends of Music Association of Torre Pacheco last summer made a seven-day exchange to the city of Verona, in Italy, through the 'Erasmus + Youth' program.
An activity that provides an opportunity to bring young people from different cultures and different languages ​​together using music and its interpretation, in the knowledge of these cultures, teamwork, tolerance and knowledge of the other.
The participants worked last year on a musical project that featured different activities such as an exhibition of posters and photographs related to the works that were performed, or a Spanish-Italian musical calendar, and culminating in the realization of a great concert performed jointly in the Italian city.
This year it is the young Italians who have come to Torre Pacheco, from this past Tuesday until July 30.
Next Sunday, July 28, the VII Concerto is held in the Cabezo Gordo: "De Sinphoniae Stellarum", which on this occasion the Musicla Ntra. Mrs. del Pasico Group, will be accompanied by the Corpo Bandistico di Colognola ai Colli of Italy.
