The STV Gestión concessionaire company continues its commitment to respect and care for the environment, adding these trucks to inspection vans and 100% electric work vehicles as well as electric blowers, among other machinery without fossil fuel consumption.
The residents of Torre Pacheco now have three new hybrid trucks in their streets that will be responsible for collecting their waste, yes, with some peculiarities with respect to the more traditional.
"In STV Gestión we continue to bet on the respect and care of the environment in our daily lives, for which what we have done is to acquire three hybrid trucks that make this company, and Torre Pacheco, a pioneer at the regional level in its use. An improvement that the neighbors of Torre Pacheco will notice when reducing the noise produced by traditional garbage trucks between 7 and 8 decibels, as well as allowing a greater load of waste, reached a useful load of about 12,000 kilos, "explains the STV Management Manager, Juan Alcántara.
In addition, these hybrid trucks have been custom designed in Italy to be as efficient as possible, alternating a diesel engine for travel and a fully electric rear-loading system.
The batteries of the new hybrid trucks are recharged as they circulate in their daily work, being only necessary to carry out a weekly global charge in the facilities of the STV Gestión concessionary company.
Alongside these trucks, Torre Pacheco is also working with inspection vans and 100% electric work vehicles, as well as electric blowers among other machinery without fossil fuel consumption.
These trucks are, in addition, the last generation that exists in Spain in terms of reduction of acoustic level as well as of CO2, which will benefit the quality of daily life of the residents of the municipality and will foster a more natural and ecological environment.
