The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the Councilor for Social Services, María José López and the General Director of Planning, Research, Pharmacy and Citizen Services, María Teresa Martínez, accompanied by technicians from the General Directorate, met at the City Council for the implementation of a collaboration agreement between the Consistory and the Foundation for Health Training and Research of the Region of Murcia that was signed last week by the hand of the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas.
The ACTIVA program aims to promote the involvement of citizens with their health, promoting healthy behaviors and styles through physical activity, a program of physical exercise that prescribes the health personnel of the Health Centers.
ACTIVA program activities in Torre Pacheco, began last week, in facilities of the Department of Sports, as commented by the Councilor for Social Services, who thanked the collaboration of the mayor of Sports, Oscar Montoya.
The participants in the program are people who prescribe the health professionals of the health centers of the municipality, an activity with a duration of six months, taught by licensed monitors in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, in a coordinated manner with professionals from the Health Centers of the municipality, and that as a novelty this year, at the end of this period will be launched Post-Active, with the intention of continuing with the sports practice with monitors of the Department of Sports.
