The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the president of the Association of People with Disabilities Prometheus, Ascension Méndez have signed the renewal of the collaboration agreement maintained by the City Council and Prometheus.
In this way, the Prometeo association receives an economic contribution of 85,000 euros to support the training of people with disabilities, through the development of the Project "Training Actions for the Labor Integration of People with Disabilities, year 2019", aimed at favoring the labor integration of people with some type of disability and the development of a program of psychosocial and labor orientation, also carrying out the follow-up of the worker through a prevention and promotion plan for health and rehabilitation, promoting personal development , social and labor of the same, and favoring in general a better quality of life.
According to Ascensión Méndez, president of Prometeo, thanks to this grant, through the Special Employment Center, users who have skills and abilities in some of the sectors that the center has, such as gardening, crafts, and cleaning are trained , in order to enter the labor market.
For his part, the Mayor has thanked the great work carried out by the Prometheus Association, and the dedication to achieve the labor integration of people with disabilities.
