The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the president of the Association of Farmers and Cattlemen of Torre Pacheco, COAG, Juan Luis Sánchez, have signed the renewal of a collaboration agreement that will involve the municipal contribution of a total of 20,000 euros to the grouping of farmers, in an event that has been attended by the Vice President of the Association, Felix Ros, the Councilor for Agriculture, Alberto Galindo, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation.
The municipal aid is mainly destined to the operation of the Office that the Association keeps open in Torre Pacheco, and from which advisory, training, promotion and revitalization activities of the agricultural and livestock business sector of the municipality of Torre Pacheco are carried out.
The President of COAG, thanked the collaboration of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, with the collective of agricultural and livestock entrepreneurs from both the municipality and the Comarca del Campo de Cartagena.
For his part, the Mayor has valued the work of COAG, highlighting the weight of Agriculture in the local economy, pointing out the importance of Associationism, information, and training, in the agricultural and livestock sector, which COAG performs.
