Last Monday, October 28, the Councilor for Social Services and Immigration María José López met with the Director General of Social Services and Relations with the Third Sector, José López Mellado to request more troops to work in direct intervention with the most people vulnerable
The accompaniment program is a device for the attention of people and social groups in a situation of exclusion or at risk of exclusion that is carried out from municipal social services whose main objective is to promote the social integration of people in a situation of exclusion.
At that meeting, common lines of work were established to carry out joint and more effective work with respect to basic social services benefits.
The Autonomous Community participates in the financing of the Primary Care Social Services through a grant to the City of Torre Pacheco for the development of measures that facilitate the access of citizens to social services such as information, guidance, counseling services and diagnosis provided by social work units, personal autonomy service, home care and family respite and prevention and social inclusion programs.
In the meeting held with a program technician, agreements were established and the willingness of the General Directorate to apply adequate resources to the specific needs of the municipality was expressed.
