The visual artist, Carmen Casanova, exhibits in Torre Pacheco a sample of her latest works called, "Glamourama", "the discourse of my work is related to the concept of contemporary femininity, taking classic and current references, in which the femininity and glamor as a weapon of seduction, and through which a critique of the consumer society and the lifestyle and aesthetics imposed by fashion editorials and mass media, "according to Casanova.
Carmen Casanova, PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Murcia, has been awarded with different awards and has an intense career, doing dozens of individual exhibitions and more than a hundred collective, highlighting collaborations in important galleries in Spain and Germany.
The artist reflects in her works the conception of the body in advertising, as a mere appearance idealizing the values of beauty and perfection, the body is reinvented as a form of consumption and as a trigger image of desire.
An exhibition that presents women as consumers and as objects of consumption, using irony as a means of criticism.
Glamourama presents a seemingly frivolous woman on the cover, turned into a symbol full of content that makes her up, where femininity acquires form and structure.
