In November Torre Pacheco commemorates the International Day of Disability, the Department of Social Services and the Prometheus Associations, AIDEMAR, D'GENES Working Group DYRK 1A, and AFAL Cartagena and Comarca, come together to make visible and raise awareness in society.
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the Councilor for Social Services, María José López, members of the Municipal Corporation and representatives of Associations working for disability in the municipality of Torre Pacheco, have been responsible for starting the broad program of activities, with the placing of a banner on the facade of the Town Hall.
Raising awareness about the social integration of people with physical and organic disabilities, equal rights and opportunities, as well as non-discrimination and the importance of living without barriers, not only architectural, but also mental, is the goal of Disability Month " A world for all ", in Torre Pacheco.
