The plot leader has been arrested again as the alleged perpetrator of a continuing crime of fraud
This is simulation of farm leases and transportation of agricultural products
In this second phase, the arrested person is credited with allegedly illegally seizing around 30,000 euros.
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has carried out in Torre Pacheco the second phase of the operation 'Balterrafa', which has settled again with the arrest of the leader of a plot dedicated to the commission of scams.
In this case, three criminal acts of fraud related to the leasing of farms and transportation of farm products have been clarified.
The proceedings began following the completion of the first phase of the operation, an investigation aimed at clarifying several scams to agricultural entrepreneurs in Murcia and Alicante that resulted in the dismantling of a criminal group, whose leader was arrested and three other people they were investigated, all of them for the alleged authorship of continued crime of fraud.
During this first phase, five fraud crimes were clarified, in which about 150,000 euros were fraudulently obtained.
The civil guards continued with the investigation with the purpose of determining if the dismantled criminal group was after the authorship of more criminal acts.
These inquiries made it possible to verify another deception about a commercial in Torre Pacheco, to which the plot leader allegedly leased several lands located in the Pachequera district of Balsicas.
The scam consisted of obtaining an economic amount as a signal, prior to the realization of the lease of a property on which the now arrested did not have any property or authorization.
In addition, the suspect offered the swindled merchant the possibility of becoming a member of an agricultural cooperative of which he impersonated as a member of the board of directors, after paying another economic amount that was also formalized.
After gaining the trust of the merchant of Torre Pacheco, the now arrested offered to the latter to manage the supply and transport of large quantities of agricultural products, melons and peppers owned by the Murcia merchant to market them to a company based in Poland.
After accepting the management, the alleged scammer simulated the shipment and charged both the Murcian and the Polish merchant for the management, although the merchandise that never reached its destination.
To do this, it used transport locations, through screenshots of the hypothetical GPS of the merchandise truck.
The Benemérita investigators have been able to determine that the company allegedly used by the detainee had not carried out any transport to Poland on the dates of the crime.
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained, the Civil Guard established a search device on the suspect who has culminated in his location and detention as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of continued fraud, estimating that he has illegally seized around 30,000 euros .
Due to the criminal activity now clarified, it has been possible to determine that the Murcia merchant has suffered high losses both economically and in the field of credibility and business confidence in relation to its exports to Poland.
During both phases of the operation, the ability of the now arrested person to deceive his victims has been proven.
From the first moment he entered the life of his future victims by forging a relationship of friendship establishing strong links to achieve their full confidence and carry out criminal activity with impunity.
This is a person with a broad criminal record for continued scams of the same type.
Due to the experience he has been acquiring, his modus operandi has been perfecting him in every way: both in the falsification of documents, and in the creation of links with the scammed that made them believe that he was really his friend, achieving with it ample room to commit their deceptions
The Spanish detainee, 51 years of age and with a record for similar crimes and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier (Murcia).
