The City of Torre Pacheco and STV Gestión, a concessionaire of the garbage collection and road cleaning service, have launched an information campaign that seeks to promote recycling in the municipality.
An informative letter has already begun to be sent to each home in Torre Pacheco, which includes a fridge magnet, in which users have all the necessary information to know how, when and where to deposit belongings and broken objects or that they no longer use.
The Councilor for Recruitment, María del Carmen Guillén, explains that in the imam "the schedules of both the collection of goods are indicated in a simple way, which takes place from Monday to Friday from nine in the morning to two in the afternoon, as the days in which ecoparks are available to citizens. "
In this case, the eco-park of Torre Pacheco opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm and from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, while that of the hamlet of Roldán is open on Wednesdays and Fridays at the same time as the previous one.
A telephone number is also provided for any questions, 968 585 340.
The letter establishes a list of accepted waste and the maximum allowed per person and day.
For example, in the case of vegetable or automotive oils, ten kilos can be deposited in the ecoparks per person per day, while other products such as electronic and computer equipment, batteries or appliances have a limit of two units per person per day.
The ecoparks also admit aerosols, light containers, rubble, fluorescent, furniture, metals, refrigerators, paper and cardboard, batteries, pruning and pruning waste (the latter in construction bags), waste toner and print cartridges, packaging remains of metallic and plastic paints, clothing or glass.
In the same way, the residues that are not allowed in the ecoparks are indicated, which are extinguishers, butane cylinders, hazardous waste, explosive, flammable, radioactive, pneumatic, clinical, industrial waste (masonry, carpentry, workshops, sales warehouses , etc.), remains of fishmongers or butchers, agricultural waste (plastics, hoses, phytosanitary ware, deposits), medications or radiographs.
María del Carmen Guillén has encouraged the population to recycle both in the clean points "with those residues that can be deposited in the yellow containers for containers, blue for paper and cardboard and green for glass, but also in ecoparks, because not everything you can throw in these clean spots. "
For his part, José Herreros, head of service of STV Gestión has concluded that it is necessary that each and every one of the residents of Torre Pacheco take into account the information provided in this campaign "because we all have to collaborate to keep our environment, but in this case also our planet, since recycling helps reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, in addition to saving energy and water. "
This is one of the awareness actions that STV Gestión will carry out under the contract signed with the Pachequero Consistory, at no cost to the user or the City Council.
