The Councilor for Education, Paco Sáez has opened the exhibition of Omar Vergara, along with Juana María Sánchez, librarian and coordinator of the Exhibition Hall, making a guided tour with the artist, to learn more about the artist and his work.
In addition, Students of the Bachelor of Art of the IES Luis Manzanares have held a meeting with Omar Vergara, and have been able to enjoy this exhibition of painting and sculpture.
The plastic work of Omar Vergara, a native of Santiago de Chile, combines painting, sculpture and drawing, giving rise to works as original and significant as those that can be seen in this exhibition.
Sergio Infante, Dr. University of Stockholm brings us closer to Omar's plastic: "Whoever approaches his work and observes it as a whole, will notice the permanent dialogue between the various expressions used, ranging from purely ornamental, to more complex manifestations with respect to plastic language and artistic intentionality, form and color are always present, enhanced by playful elements, in which curves and angles predominate in counterpoints, or a range of colors in the same situation, in which the warm face the cold, so that the volume is made by contrast and not by the gradation of light, in the case of painting, and by drafts and cuts, in which the color is not lacking, in the sculptural work ".
We are facing a work of our time and endowed with great universality, reflecting both the country of origin of the author and Europe where he has lived and worked.
Omar Vergara Cáceres, a graduate in Fine Arts, at the University of Barcelona, has dozens of works related to art and publications, as well as individual and collective exhibitions worldwide.
An exhibition where the works have no title, because according to the artist it is a way for the viewer to be the name of each work, depending on what he transmits when observing it.
