The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the president of the Association of Choirs and Dance Group Virgen del Rosario, Pedro Vera, have signed this morning at the City Council of Torre Pacheco, a collaboration agreement.
Act in which the Councilor for Culture, Raúl Lledó and the Councilor for Equality, Verónica Martínez, have also been present.
The "Virgen del Rosario" Choir and Dance Folk Music Group of Torre Pacheco, receives 4,600 euros, to cover the cost of promotion and enhancement of folklore through the School of Music and organization of performances.
The president, Pedro Vera, thanked once again, the support of the City Council, listing the actions they will perform during this year, in which they celebrate their 50th anniversary, noting that the Association was founded in 1970, and that currently , they are working on the design of this celebration;
anticipating that a book with the history of these 50 years will be published, and that the Folklore Festival that is traditionally held coinciding with the Patron Saint Festivities in October, will be a great Festival.
In addition, he has invited the two performances that they perform next Sunday, in Santa Rosalia, on the occasion of the day of San Antón, and in the Regional Meeting of the Hospitality of Lourdes;
remarking that the Association collaborates in events and events in which they are requested, with the aim of promoting the municipality, as well as contributing to keep alive and publicize our traditions.
The mayor wanted to thank the work of all the people who have been through the Choirs and Dances during these years, cultural ambassadors of our municipality that are part of our history.
And above all, Dolores Garcerán, former president and soul of the Folkloric Musical Association Choirs and Dances "Virgen del Rosario", for 38 years, as well as the founder and first president, Eduardo Vera Carrión and Antonio Ros;
and of course to the current Board of Directors, with Pedro Vera, as president, who with his effort have managed to give a boost to the Choirs and Dances Virgin of the Rosary of Torre Pacheco.
