The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the president of the Association of Folkloric Musician Virgen de los Dolores, José García, and the Secretary, María de los Ángeles García, as well as, the Councilor for Culture, Raúl Lledó, the Councilor for Education, Paco Sáez and the Councilor for Equality, Verónica Martínez, have been present at the signing of the agreement.
The Virgen de los Dolores Folkloric Musician Association will receive 4,100 euros to cover the expenses incurred in the development of the activities of the promotion and enhancement of folklore.
The activities to be developed will be all those related to the dissemination, promotion and enhancement of regional and local folklore and musical culture, through the school of music and dances, guitar lessons and double strings, as well as the organization of the Meeting of Gangs and Carol Contest.
The president of the Rondalla, José García, thanked the collaboration of the City Council, pointing out that thanks to this agreement, it allows them to work to improve the Gang Meeting, being able to include crews from outside the region of Murcia.
In addition, he pointed out that the Gang Meeting, which this year is held on April 19, is the only one that has Trovera Shows in the area.
He also took the opportunity to invite all the residents of the municipality and region to the Rondallas Solidarias Concert for the benefit of the "Dar de Sí" Foundation, which is held on February 8 at the Dolores de Pacheco Civic Center at 9:00 p.m.
For his part, the Mayor reiterated his gratitude to the cultural associations of the municipality for their work, as well as, said that this agreement aims to adapt to the requests and needs of the Folkloric Musician Association of the Dolores, highlighting that the association is a piece very important of the society of Dolores de Pacheco, in addition to a great revitalization of the town.
