The Councilor for Education, Paco Sáez, accompanied by Francisco Riquelme, professor and secretary of the Center for Adult Education, the Councilor for Agriculture, Alberto Galindo, and the Councilor for Equality, Verónica Martínez, presented this morning the VI Conference "An Education for the 21st Century. Looks from the Sciences and the Arts. "
The CEA Mar Menor, has been the scenario chosen on this occasion to present the conference, which aims to become a space that allows the analysis of reality and the contrast of ideas about Education and the necessary pedagogical renewal with more than 180 activities distributed in 18 municipalities of the Region of Murcia until next March 26.
Within the extensive program that will run through several municipalities, Torre Pacheco will host three talks by experts, aimed at the general population, and families with minor children in particular.
"Learning and neuroscience. Free intelligence", by Manuel Cebrian, is the first conference held in the municipality, next Wednesday, January 22;
"Affection; ingredients for good treatment. Adolescence and sexuality", by Isabel Guerrero will be held on Wednesday, January 29 and "The Mar Menor has a future", given by Ramón Pagán, will be the third conference, on Wednesday, 5 February.
All conferences will be held in the Plenary Hall of the City of Torre Pacheco, at 7 pm with free admission.
The Conference was presented on January 16, in the Paraninfo of the University of Murcia with an inaugural conference given by Mr. Joaquín Anraujo, under the title "The educational system and the climate catastrophe."
The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León Garre, the Councilor for Education, Paco Sáez and the Councilor for Culture, Raúl Lledó.
