POSITIVE PARENTALITY "Educating with head and heart"]
The City of Torre Pacheco, through the Department of Social Services and Immigration will launch a new edition of School of mothers and fathers.
The formation of families is increasingly necessary to correctly exercise their educational function.
However, the problems to make family schedules and responsibilities compatible make access difficult.
Positive parentality entails establishing the necessary limits so that children can fully realize their potential.
Following these lines, this school aims to promote the acquisition of skills (knowledge, skills and attitudes) that allow participants to feel better prepared to face varied situations of family life.
With this project, the family support services of the municipal social services aim to provide mothers and fathers with different resources and skills that help them face possible difficulties in the family nucleus, in addition to creating a space for joint reflection on family situations everyday and about educational patterns.
The course is aimed at families, mothers and fathers with daughters and minor children.
Among the topics to be discussed are the development and growth of children, the importance of affectivity for the construction of self-esteem, limits, norms and consequences, the positive resolution of conflicts in the family environment and the proper use of new technologies by children.
The project consists of 7 sessions of 2 hours each with a periodicity of two days a week and will be taught at the facilities of the Day Center of the City of Torre Pacheco, from March 3 to 26, during 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
