The woman reported having been the victim of robbery with violence from her mobile phone

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has carried out the operation 'LUGENA', an investigation that began to clarify a robbery with violence committed in the urban area of ​​Torre Pacheco, which has resulted in two people being investigated as alleged perpetrators of the crimes simulation of crime and scam.
The investigation began in December last year, when a neighbor from the municipality of Torre Pacheco reported having been the victim of a robbery with violence and intimidation.
The complainant told the agents that she was assaulted on public roads by an individual, of whom she provided numerous details about her age, corpulence and physical features.
The robbery ended with the removal of his mobile phone and with first medical attention in the municipality's Emergency Service, for minor injuries.
From that moment, the Civil Guard began to collect information through the telephone company to locate the telephone and, in turn, identify the person who had it in their possession.
The data obtained by the investigators revealed that the complainant had reported the theft to the insurance associated with the telephone, as well as that she had been compensated with the delivery of another terminal with the same characteristics as the abducted.
Once the alleged scam was known, the Civil Guard investigated until verifying that both phones, the one allegedly stolen from the victim and the new one, were in the possession of the complainant and her husband.
For all these reasons, both have been investigated as alleged perpetrators of crime simulation and fraud.
Those arrested, the two seized mobile phones and the investigative proceedings have been made available to the Investigating Court of San Javier (Murcia).
The Benemérita informs citizens that reporting a crime that has never been committed carries criminal consequences, in addition to generating a serious social alarm when dealing with violent crimes that affect the subjective feeling of citizen security.
In this sense, the Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed various operations to clarify alleged crimes of robbery with violence, which have resulted in the arrest of the complainants as alleged perpetrators of crime simulation and, in some cases, crime cases. scam.
