The Councilor for the Environment and Heritage of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, José Vera Garre has reported that although the state of alarm has slightly slowed down some action that was taking place from the Department of the Environment, in the field of Animal Welfare they have not been left to meet the needs of the feline colonies, which are being launched through the CER project (capture, sterilize and return).Regarding the adoptions of dogs, those that were being processed or on the waiting list before the state of alarm have ended, but they have not wanted to continue with them, to try to avoid the increase in animal abandonments once normality has resumed.In the area of ??Public Health Councilman José Vera Garre, recalled the publication of the Solar Cleaning Band, on March 3, by which all owners of plots in this municipality are ordered to clean it.Likewise, he commented that we are entering the time of year, in which with the increase in temperatures, there is an increase in insects and pests and for this, citizen collaboration is necessary, so that in the private sphere they complement the actions that will be carried out by the administration.Regarding the actions and surveillance of the mosquito, especially the tiger mosquito, José Vera has reported that they are still underway and their presence in flood zones, parks and gardens is being controlled and the corresponding treatments are carried out in the scupper network.
