The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, along with members of the Municipal Corporation, Civil Guard, Local Police and residents of the municipality, has kept a minute of silence in memory of those killed by COVID-19, in the Plaza Mayor Pedro Jiménez from Torre Pacheco.
A solemn moment of respect, where the people of Torre Pacheco wanted to express their condolences for those who have died as a result of the coronavirus.The Council of Ministers approved yesterday, May 26, the official declaration of mourning throughout the country for those who died due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mourning is established from 00:00 hours today, Wednesday, May 27, 2020, until 00:00 hours on Saturday, June 6.
This ten-day period of official mourning is the longest in Spanish democratic history.
In addition, a minute of silence has been convened today, at 12 in the morning, in memory of the deceased, with a general character and extensible throughout the country.Torre Pacheco City Council joins the official declaration of mourning approved by Royal Decree 538/2020, of May 26, which declares official mourning for those who died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this period the flags will fly at half-pole on the outside and with a crepe on the pole of the mast inside.
