| Prizes for the XXVII Villa de Torre Pacheco Short Story Contest and the IX Micro-Story Contest for the Torre Pacheco Municipal Public Library | The work entitled "Anselmo", by Raúl Valiente García, from Burgos, has won the Short Narrations Contest.
The awarded author will receive a cash prize in the amount of 2,000 euros.The award-winning Micro-story has been "Fiesta Nacional", by Valentín García Valledo de Albacete, awarded with 150 euros.Last Friday, July 31, at the Municipal Public Library of Torre Pacheco, in the presence of the Councilor for Culture, Raúl Lledó, the president of the jury, Juana María Sánchez, and the secretary, Carmen María Alcaraz, proceeded to count the votes received online by the Jury of literary contests, called by the Torre Pacheco City Council.
The Jury made up of representatives from the world of culture and education, have not held a face-to-face meeting as in previous calls, given the circumstances of the crisis stemming from COVID-19, choosing to cast the vote electronically.Given the decisions issued by email by each of the members of the Jury and the votes counted, the work entitled "Anselmo", whose author is Raúl Valiente García, of Burgos, who will receive a cash prize in the amount of 2,000.
€.In the IX Micro-story Contest of the Municipal Public Library of Torre Pacheco the winning work has been titled "National Festival" whose author is Valentín García Valledor, from Caudete (Albacete), who will receive a prize worth € 150.The award ceremony, although as stipulated in the rules, will be made in a public act, given the health situation that concerns us, it will be resolved and communicated sufficiently in advance by the organization of the Contest.The Jury wanted to congratulate all the participants and encourage all of them to continue writing and participating in future calls for these literary contests whose objective is to promote and reward literary writing.
