The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Paco Sáez, members of the Municipal Corporation, the Los Meroños pediatrician, Beatriz Sánchez and municipal technicians, has visited the Meroños school, to supervise the improvement actions and conditioning that the City Council is carrying out at the facilities.Specifically, and as reported by the Councilor for Education, in the Los Meroños school, the exterior patio has been paved, as well as the conditioning of three toilets, painting and removing the dampness of this area, some much-needed improvements , due to the age of the building, and that they have had a budget of almost 4,000 euros.
In addition, Sáez has wanted to thank the collaboration of the center who have been responsible for the supply of plumbing.Likewise, it has indicated that the entire fence has been changed in the perimeter of primary education, in the El Jimenado school, which is also part of the CRA Entretierras, an arrangement highly demanded by the entire educational community and families of the students, and that it has cost approximately 1,000 euros, pointing out that the entire area has also been painted.The councilor added that conditioning work is being carried out in all schools, painting, furniture arrangement and adaptation of spaces, among others and that cleaning has been intensified in the municipal schools to meet the needs of protection and hygiene of the staff of the educational centers and of the students in the face of COVID-19 and with it, guarantee a safe return to the classrooms, planned if there is no new change before the start of the course, for Monday, September 14.
