The Association "Agua y Tierra", COAG and the Department of Equality of the Torre Pacheco City Council, commemorated the International Day of Rural Women today, Thursday October 15, under the slogan "Rural Women: opening roads in times of pandemic".An event held in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, in which a manifesto has been read, as well as the projection of a video with a virtual tour of the main squares that frame our City Council, to value all rural women, especially the women of our municipality, through their different professions or trades, contributing every day to the economic and social development of our towns.The event was attended by the mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the Councilor for Communication, Carlos López, the president of COAG Torre Pacheco, Juan Luis Sánchez, and the president of the Association "Agua y Tierra", Magdalena Conesa, who have valued the fundamental role of women in rural areas, and the importance of work to help recognize the fundamental role of rural women in all areas of society.Magdalena Conesa wanted to thank the work and work of women in rural areas, claiming the fundamental role that "each and every rural woman plays in all areas of society", reiterating once again that "together we cultivate the present and future of our peoples ".
