| Awareness campaign to commemorate November 25 "International Day Against Gender Violence" | The Councilor for Equality of the Torre Pacheco City Council, Verónica Martínez, today presented the awareness campaign to commemorate November 25, the International Day against Gender Violence. This year the campaign is focused on official statistics on data on sexist violence, extracted from the results of the latest macro-survey conducted at the national level.
These data will reach our neighbors through the dissemination of #LosDatosNoMienten on social networks, street exhibitions and the media. It should be noted that due to the circumstances of the social health crisis we are facing, we have focused our efforts on social networks and the media.Banners have been installed along Calle Mayor and Avenida Fontes that expose the data extracted from the latest macro-survey, which is also broadcast in a video on social networks. In addition, radio spots are being broadcast, with messages against violence, as well as a special program on Gender Violence, on Radio Torre Pacheco with the intervention of the social worker from the Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence.Since the CAVI and in collaboration with the General Directorate for Women, since the end of October, a Crafts Workshop has been held whose objective is to empower Women Victims and give them tools to incorporate into working life.On Wednesday, November 25, an institutional act will take place where the Manifesto Against Gender Violence will be read, where in order to respect health measures, no group has been invited, although it can be followed live on Facebook and the Web of Radio Torre Pacheco. One more year from the Department of Equality will take a motion to plenary session, with the aim of joining forces from our City Council and ending this reality that unfortunately many women live.On the other hand, when the situation allows it, an awareness campaign will be launched in collaboration with bars and cafes in the municipality, since the City Council works for Equality and against Gender Violence not only during the month of November, such as Verónica Martínez has reiterated.
