The Torre Pacheco City Council through the Department of Equality, and in collaboration with the General Directorate of Women and Gender Diversity and the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts of the Region of Murcia, has developed a Workshop, specifically designed by and for women who have been victims of gender violence.The "Empower yourself" workshop has been aimed at motivating women to join work and social life, providing them with a new opportunity for the future, destined in this edition to the "ceramic artisan trade".During its development, from October 30 to November 27, all security measures have been applied to minimize COVID risks, being taught to a small group of women.In the words of Verónica Martínez Councilor for Equality, "Initiatives like these empower women and help them overcome the difficult situation they are going through, due to the scourge of sexist violence." "From the council's equality area, we are going to continue working along these lines to provide women who suffer gender violence with all the necessary resources that allow them to get out of the situations of abuse they suffer."
