| 15,000 euros for actions of the Association in the field of education | The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, and the Vice President of the Association, Concepción Ortega, signed this collaboration agreement, which aims to articulate the conditions and commitments applicable to the direct award of a nominative grant from the Torre Pacheco City Council to FAPAmTP, to support the maintenance of FAPA activities and actions aimed at complementing the comprehensive training of the school community and aiming at any type of action in the field of education, as well as actions to be carried out in the management of the book bank.The mayor highlighted the great work carried out by this Association in which dozens of parents of the municipality are involved who work to complete the comprehensive training of the school community, also valued the adaptation of their actions to guarantee the training of schoolchildren, avoiding barriers arising from the health crisis such as the technological gap and transportation to the educational center for high school students.The activities promoted by FAPAmTP, as Ortega listed, are the organization, development and updating of the book bank funds, extracurricular, cultural and educational activities, workshops, sporting events, conferences, training courses that serve for the comprehensive development of the parents and students, conducting studies on the school reality, the needs of young people, integration or any other social or economic nature, which makes it possible to improve the quality of teaching.On the other hand, Concepción Ortega reported on the work of FAPAmTP to adapt to the new situation resulting from the health crisis of COVID-19, adapting projects to facilitate access to quality education, eliminating detected barriers such as the technological gap, facilitating from the Association to the most disadvantaged families, computer equipment for the training of students, or the provision of transport to facilitate the transfer of high school students in the face-to-face sessions that the educational center organizes.
