The Mayors of Torre Pacheco, Antonio Le n and Los Alc zares, Mario P rez, have held a meeting with the regional heads of Public Health, as well as those responsible for the Health Area VIII of Los Arcos - Mar Menor, to study the situation of the municipality and propose concrete alternatives to the imposed perimeter closure that addresses the containment of the virus in the sectors that right now lead the contagions of our municipality. Le n has defended that "the measures taken affect the generality" and has called for "greater control and specificity in the workplace in the affected sectors: especially control of buses and transport, as well as massive screening in companies and ETTs.
" The meeting also addressed the coordination between Public Health and Social Services, which will take place through the mediation of the City Council, especially in the control of the most vulnerable homes, as well as in the monitoring of quarantines carried out by the Local Police and which will be joined by voluntary Civil Protection trackers in order to limit and increase the monitoring of active cases. The councilors of Social Services and Health, Citizen Security and Civil Protection have also participated in the meeting, as well as municipal workers of these services from both municipalities. The Regional Government has decided, for its part, to extend the perimeter confinement of both municipalities for one more week, which will be reviewed the next week prior to Christmas. function { ;(, , {});}
