The Torre Pacheco City Council has launched two projects subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service and co-financed by the European Social Fund, called "PEDESTRIANS WITHOUT BARRIERS" and "DYNAMIZATION OF THE YOUNG SPACE", under the October 2020 call of the Local Public Employment Program.
These projects have started on December 16, 2020 and have been fully subsidized in the amounts of 20,571.36 euros and 19,712.88 euros respectively. With the project "PEDESTRIANS WITHOUT BARRIERS", 2 masons have been hired full-time for six months, who will develop masonry jobs consisting of the elimination of accessibility barriers in pedestrian crossings, the improvement of accessibility on public roads and the creation of fords for parking of vehicles for people with disabilities.
These actions are intended to improve the objective of making our municipality more accessible and adapted to people with reduced mobility. With the project "DYNAMIZING YOUNG SPACE", 2 full-time sociocultural monitors (recreational activities monitors) have been hired for six months, who will carry out work to stimulate activities for young people, adolescents and the population in In general, through the programming of leisure activities, free time and culture, using the facilities in the so-called "Young Space" located in Torre Pacheco.
The purpose of the project is to develop leisure programs based on education in free time, through sports and cultural activities of a socio-educational nature.
