The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the president of the Community of Irrigators of Campo de Cartagena, Manuel Martínez, have signed this morning, a regulatory collaboration agreement for the direct concession of a subsidy of 18,000 euros. A subsidy, as Le n has pointed out, that aims to collaborate in the financing of the conditioning works, repair of the pavement or patching and maintenance, of rural roads of the Transfer that run in the t Torre Pacheco municipal boundary, being roads of necessary use for circulation through said municipal boundary or that facilitate access to the urban core. In addition, Le n stressed that both the Irrigation Community and the City Council continue to work to minimize the risks in the face of torrential rains, with actions such as cleaning channels and improving infrastructure in the municipality. For his part, Martínez thanked the City Council for the subsidy received, as well as the support they always receive and the collaboration for the maintenance of these infrastructures that are not exclusively roads for agricultural use, but also They are used by many neighbors, pointing out that thanks to this subsidy they will be able to make investments and improve communication routes in the municipality.
In addition, he has made an appeal to farmers and irrigators, asking for an exercise of responsibility, requesting that they make good use of these roads, taking care of them and not cultivating them, remembering that they are infrastructures that are already 41 years old, and it is very expensive to maintain.
