As a result of a neighborhood warning, the technician responsible for Animal Welfare, together with the Local Police, proceeded to visit the farm that was the object of the warning, finding four adults and five puppies, in a inadequate hygienic and sanitary situation, being tied up and having nowhere to take refuge from adverse weather conditions, without food or water, without identification or relevant vaccines, exceeding the number of pets allowed and some had even suffered mutilation of their ears and tails, without any veterinary control.
For all this, the 9 dogs were seized from the owner, by the company that manages the service for the collection of abandoned animals and a record was made of the actions carried out to initiate a sanctioning file. According to José Vera, councilor responsible for Animal Welfare, the aforementioned behaviors are totally prohibited by Law 6/2017, of November 8, on the Protection and Defense of Company Animals of the Murcia region, in addition, they may be sanctioned with up to € 30,000 fine, so our City Council will take steps to process the appropriate file and try to avoid that, as far as possible, these behaviors reoccur. function { ;(, , {});}
