Yesterday was opened in Torre-Pacheco a garden in honor of José Maria Soto.
This act is a sign of public recognition and tribute to the memory of Mr. Jose Marin, as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation to our City and county, devoted to such civic behavior, generous and committed a neighbor recalled that contributed over of his life with culture, theater and active life in old age in Torre-Pacheco
José Marín Soto is the son of the town since its inception in the year 1,911.
After his marriage with Ms.
Josefa Soler Rosique moved his residence to the town of Torre Pacheco, Francisco Leon Street, No. 8, where he lived surrounded by his family, his wife and four daughters who bore fruit: Florentina, Josefina, Maria Mercedes and Angel Marin Soler, neighboring municipality, now dedicated to their families and honored occupations.
On 22 January 2008 passed away, feeling a deep and sincere sadness all those who were lucky and trainable experience to have met and shared with him their occupations, their voluntary nature and concerns.
In his career, he worked at the former gas station Luis Hernandez, the present station Withdrawal Service, dedicated to driving a truck for transport and distribution of fuel, one of the routes into the Port and Terminal of Cartagena Escombreras , having witnessed and engaged with their work easily and diligent drive the creation of this important industrial and business complex near our town.
Mr. Marin demonstrated throughout his life to be a great parent, a good friend of his friends, a steady worker and helpful and a volunteer, active and witty, devoting his free time to interact and coexist with its neighbors and friends, going to public places for these play activities.
After his retirement he was actively involved with the activities of City Hall in the Department of Culture, Sports, especially with the Municipal Culture and the Municipal Radio.
He was one of the major drivers of Pensioner Household, always ready to generate new ideas or activities designed especially for this group, encouraged or cooperated in the creation, then with zero or more concise budget, recreational, cultural or entertaining final , from bingo, contests, games, piñatas, trips, tours and camps.
He loved to relate, transmit and communicate, it was also one of the promoters and participants in the radio program on our local radio station "Remember us", now in full swing, and was a contributor and active member of the then precursors theater the town: Theatre Groups "Reflections" and "The Shawl."
No doubt, all of whom are or have been part of these cultural groups, especially the shawl, remember him with particular nostalgia and affection, and appreciate its special character willing and helpful, its great simplicity and humility, and high involvement in history and cultural life of this group.
