More than 500 youth in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco received sexuality talks under the program of Health Promotion of the Department of Social Services and Equality in collaboration with the Health Center Ernest Lluch Torre-Pacheco.
Students of 1st and 2nd ESO of IES Gerardo Molina, Luis Manzanares and Ntra. Lady of Sorrows of Dolores de Pacheco, have participated in this activity of great interest to young people.
In order to inform, educate and prevent to have a responsible attitude about sexuality, about contraception and sexually transmitted diseases, to prevent risk behaviors and establish clear, healthy and safe relationships;
They have made these talks.
They have addressed issues like puberty and adolescence, physiology and genital anatomy, myths about sexuality, gender roles, sexual orientation, contraception, pregnancy and abortion (IVE), as well as the prevention of HIV / AIDS.
"Sexuality should be understood as another process more learning into the life of a person. Therefore, information and proper guidance, will promote the physical, psychological and social well-being of human beings, and risk prevention in this area ", he pointed out the Councillor for Social Services and Equality, Veronica Martinez at the close of the workshops.
