This morning the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, next to the representative of the association "Family Action", Eusebio Martinez Diaz have signed a cooperation agreement that seeks to strengthen the strong partnership between the Association for Family and IMSAS (Municipal Institute of Social Action Services for the City of Torre Pacheco) in prevention programs for Family and IMSAS in programs for prevention of drugs under development in our municipality, through the Municipal Plan Drug Addiction Prevention.
The experience in diverse fields in our town and the good results that provide different assessments of activities justifies the interest in continuing to rely IMSAS services.
In order to act in a coordinated manner to ensure and strengthen the implementation of actions and programs for Health Education and Prevention of Drug Addiction in the field of education, family and community we will carry out this agreement.
To this end the City of Torre Pacheco Social Action transferred to the amount of 7,000 € for carrying out the following activities:
Talks-talks and training courses on drug prevention for parents.
Family Guidance Service for direct assistance to families with children with behavioral problems.
Tutoring session sharing on "drug prevention", in ESO and Training with direct involvement of the Guidance Department.
Showtimes and alternative leisure activities at the community level.
Participation in outreach activities.
Family Action is a non-governmental non-profit organization which has among its objectives to promote health and prevent substance abuse in community and educational level, channeling their actions through schools and other social groups, actively participating in the municipality of Torre Pacheco in the Municipal Development Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction.
