The Windmills Association held its traditional pilgrimage in honor of San Miguel Archangel, patron saint of millers.
The events began in the morning, with the appointment of Romero de Honor 2016, in the plaza of the Church Ntra. Sra. Del Rosario.
The title of Romero de Honor was awarded to the person of Theodore Fructuoso Conesa, director of Radio Torre-Pacheco, great communicator and committed to the municipality, a regular contributor to various cultural, sporting and entertainment events.
From the Church attendees they went with the image of San Miguel to the Mill "Uncle Facorro" where a concentration of carriages and horses took place and could enjoy food tasting.
After this break, the pilgrims continued to the El Molino Pasic, where he launched;
subsequently visited the Molino del Tío Isidro "El Zorro", making food in the Chapel of Santa Rosalia and launching the mill Pereas, ending that definitely was a day of leisure, cultural coexistence and above all a day where prevailed the appreciation of the richness we have in the municipality with our mills.
In the municipality of Torre-Pacheco have several windmills being of two types:. Flour or cereal and draw water or aqueducts, artistic monuments of cultural heritage of our area, the image of our town and hallmark of our environment.
