The Governing Council has approved a proposal of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, a grant of 183,500 euros to the city of Torre Pacheco for development and redevelopment works in the municipality.
The goal is the implementation of actions to improve public spaces, both the quality and sustainability of urban areas, including in the area identified as Area Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU) of the municipality and part of the current Plan Living place.
It comprising the area from the center of Torre Pacheco to the north exit of the town, which has undergone a gradual process of degradation of both the general state of the buildings and the urban environment and revitalize.
The 2,000 people living in this area will be the beneficiaries of the works, which will improve the appearance of the neighborhood and will equip a uniform and homogeneous character to the urban fabric.
The municipality of Torre Pacheco has had a budget of 2.7 million euros for the rehabilitation of 80 houses grouped in 17 buildings and reconstruction of three houses.
