The aim of the Workshop was to improve the employability of participants by expanding their skills in the use of IT tools and ICTs, thus providing them with greater possibilities of finding a job.
With this purpose, the Department of Social Services and Equality of the City of Torre-Pacheco has been collaborating with the National Association Abraham Project in the design and start-up of workshops of socio-labor formation as the one that is closed today.
Thanks to this collaboration, the Association carries out the recruitment of teachers.
In this case it is a Computer-based course (basic level) oriented to employment, with a duration of 60 hours, and which has been taught from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, October 18 To November 29, 2016 in the multimedia classroom of the Department of Employment and Local Development located in the House of Radio.
A total of 16 unemployed people residing in the municipality and derived from the Social Services Center as well as other services such as Youth or the local Employment Office have participated.
The Workshop has been eminently practical, focused on the needs of students and adapted to the different levels of each of the attendees, from the most basic level of internet access, to creating and managing profiles in social and professional networks as linked In, Curriculum Vitae, etc.
The training action 12 of the participants (9 women and 3 men, with a mean of 32 years of age) have been successfully completed, which have acquired new knowledge and skills in the use of computer equipment and access to online resources Will facilitate both the search for employment and continue their training.
