The event organized by the Water and Land Association and the Coordinator of Associations of Farmers and Ranchers of the Region of Murcia (COAG), gathered more than 300 women farmers and livestock.
Women from the Torre-Pacheco Water and Land Association, with its president, Magdalena Conesa, who is also part of the regional executive, accompanied by the Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Veronica Martinez, participated in this meeting;
Whose motto was "Women defending the rural and agrarian future of the Region of Murcia", with the aim of giving visibility to the role of women who carry out their professional activity in the rural environment, as well as to encourage their participation.
There were many issues during the day, highlighting the main issues affecting rural women;
Also reflected on the employment opportunities of women in the agricultural and livestock sector;
Defending the rights of equal pay, or the reconciliation of work and family life.
In addition, the demands and needs of rural women and the proposals put forward by the Association were presented.
