The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León and the Councilor for Equality, Veronica Martinez, presented this morning the campaign of March 8 International Women's Day.
The campaign aims to highlight the social value of Equality, and the commitment of all to make equality of opportunity real, and to recognize the role of women in all spheres of society.
The City Council has planned different activities, with which to highlight the importance of this date.
Activities where we find courses, workshops, sports, exhibitions, talks, theater, gastronomy, which have started today and end on the 25th of this month.
"The month of March is a date that does not go unnoticed by the Department of Equality, and together with the collaboration of various associations of the municipality, we propose a broad program of activities with which we want to remember the firm commitment of this government team For Equality, giving it the importance it deserves through the commitment of everyone to ensure that equality of opportunity is real, "said Veronica Martinez, during the presentation of the program.
