The Councilor for Culture Raul Lledo and the President of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia Sergio Martinez have presented at the Municipality of Torre-Pacheco the Regional Championship of Track Cycling.
Next Saturday the Torre-Pacheco Municipal Velodrome will host this championship, which will start at 9 in the morning.
The Municipal Velodrome is the only facility approved for these activities throughout the Region of Murcia and is proof of the great commitment to the sport made by the City of Torre-Pacheco.
The categories in which they compete are Cadets, Juveniles, Elite and Sub 23, male and female in all of them.
In turn, the disciplines to be carried out are Pursuit, Scratch, Elimination and Punctuation, in that order.
The first of Chase will be to qualify, from which will be two teams that will then compete in a final.
The different competitions will take place throughout the morning and the prizes will be delivered at two and a half in the afternoon.
There are 75 registered participants, among which there are several Torre-Pacheco teams, such as the Black Pearl, the Roldan Cyclist Club, etc.
It is expected that between participants and public will be accommodated between 300 and 400 people in the Velodrome.
From the City Hall of Torre-Pacheco, citizens of the whole Region are encouraged to attend the Cycling Championship on Track and enjoy this sport activity.
