The mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, and the president of Prometeo (Association of Parents of Psychic, Physical and Sensorial Disadvantaged), Ascensión Méndez, presided over the ceremony of delivery of the demanial authorization of assisted housing "El Pasico" by Part of the Town Hall of Torre-Pacheco to Prometheus.
Users of Prometheus have witnessed the event attended by members of the Municipal Corporation and the Secretary-Accidental of the town hall.
The building was used as sheltered housing for seniors until 2012, the year in which it closed its doors;
Five years later the City Council has ceded the use for the occupation of the property to Prometheus, so that the Association provides a residential service to its users.
Demanial authorization is granted for a period of four years, during which, the Association will be in charge of its maintenance and management of housing.
The Mayor, has valued the fact of putting value on this property, and once again, collaborate with this Association whose social work is so important in Torre-Pacheco;
In turn, the Councilor for Social Services, Veronica Martinez, also wanted to congratulate the work of this group, congratulating them on the projects they are developing in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco.
Likewise Mendez, thanked the involvement of the consistory and thanked this assignment, conveying the joy of users and managers of the Association, who from today start work to start this property.
