Get out of the sofa and come to share your free time] | The City of Torre-Pacheco hires 8 young beneficiaries of the National System of Youth Guarantee to put on an alternative leisure project for young people |
The Councilor for Education and Youth of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, Inmaculada Concepción Martínez accompanied by members of the municipal corporation presented the program of healthy leisure "Conecta-T", a project promoted by the Department of Youth and Culture;
And as Martínez explained, "it aims to offer young people and adolescents of the municipality a different model of leisure that is characterized by being more creative, healthier and less consumer," noting that activities are mainly developed in the afternoon, weekends.
This project as explained by the edil of education pretends to offer to the young people and adolescents of the municipality other forms of fun;

CONECTA-T is aimed at adolescents and young people between 12 and 35 years old and has two objectives: to awaken and connect young people to share their free time, as well as to energize and connect the young population of the main districts farthest from Torre's nucleus -Pacheco with the activities carried out by the Department of Youth.
The first phase of this project has consisted in knowing the demands and needs of leisure that this resident group has in the municipality for which a survey was developed to secondary students.
Based on the results, a set of activities that combine sport, adventure, music, travel, games and technology have been programmed.
The young people are developing this project from March and will be until the month of September;
The 8 young people perform tasks, of socio-cultural monitors, 4 of them and of concierge the rest, contracted through the subsidy of Local Public Employment for beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee granted to the City council of Torre-Pacheco in 2016 by the Regional Service of Employment and Training.
The monitors are located in the Youth Department while the custodians are distributed between the library and the Performing Arts Center.
Besides the own programming of the project they are supporting different activities of these councils.
Within this project has been made in May a weekend of table games, a hiking route and an afternoon of solidarity consoles for users of social services.
Other programmed activities are computer workshops, day in multi-adventure circuit, urban orientation race, walk with your pet, trips to Madrid and Barcelona and workshop of introduction to martial arts.
Municipal swimming pools will also be a place for games and fun thanks to this program, during the summer period.
