The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has signed several collaboration agreements with different companies so that the students of Torre Pacheco Integrated Training Center for Agricultural Experiences (CIFEA) can do non-labor professional practices.
Specifically, they will carry out an 80-hour module in different work centers.
The students who are going to opt for these professional practices have passed their training in nurseries, garden centers and installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas.
During the months of April and June, these students took a course for unemployed persons from the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), focusing on auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers, for a total of 330 hours, of which 250 Hours are developed in the CIFEA of Torre Pacheco.
The students have a maximum period of six months to carry out the internship module and thus obtain the Certificate of Professionalism.
This module of practices in companies will allow the institutions to know the skills and training of students in these tasks, thus favoring subsequent recruitment in the event that the company needs staff.
According to the agreement signed between the Ministry and companies, the SEF will monitor the follow-up of training actions and training plans.
On the other hand, no work contracts can be formalized until non-work professional practices have been formalized.
Cycles
The Integrated Center for Agricultural Training and Experimentation is located in a technical and agronomic environment appropriate to the lessons taught.
This center imparts the average cycles of Technician in Agriculture, Technician in Gardening and Floristeríay Superior Technician in Landscaping and Rural Medium.
The CIFEA is comprised of four buildings nestled in an area of ​​nine hectares.
Each one of the buildings with a different function: classrooms, administration, residence, machinery workshop and agricultural implements.
In addition, agricultural research projects are carried out in collaboration with IMIDA.
It has six classrooms, with capacities to accommodate up to 30 students each, in addition to an auditorium, agrotechnology and phytopathology laboratories, computer room, agricultural machinery workshop, sports court, library, offices for teachers, warehouses and greenhouses , Among other facilities.
