A meeting that aims to give an impulse to art, and culture, with a program of activities aimed at young people, as an alternative to traditional activities.
Tonight begins the 2nd meeting of Urban Culture, Art-up in Torre-Pacheco, although urban artists have already begun to work.
This morning the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the Councilor for Youth, Conchi Martínez and the Councilor for Culture Raul Lledó, visited the murals and were able to talk to the artists about the works they are working on.
The study "Hermanos de Tinta" has been responsible for coordinating some thirty urban artists to produce fifteen works that will be added to last year, which are already part of the urban landscape of the town.
Expression, civics, respect, communication, community and creativity are the pillars of this meeting, whose objective is to make groups of young people become active members of culture and not mere spectators, enabling a participatory program with activities during the year in which young people are able to generate their own artistic ideas and symbolic productions.
In this way the cultural development of young people is promoted, promoting dialogue, personal and social growth.
A varied program of activities is part of this 2nd Meeting of Urban Culture "ART-ATÉ", which has begun with the realization of mural paintings;
and that tonight continues with the Battle of roosters and the performance of DJ BlackSheep;
children's activities;
masterclass;
and sports exhibitions;
ending Saturday September 9 with a macro concert in which in addition to local groups, will perform "La Gran Orquesta Republicana".
