The Modernist Cultural Association of Cartagena del Levante participates in the activities on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Town Hall Square, this Sunday, September 17 "Day of the Municipality" of Torre-Pacheco |
The Association of Modernists of Cartagena, were in charge of setting our Town Hall square, last Sunday, September 17, coinciding also with the "Day of the Municipality", since in 1836 the Villa of Torre-Pacheco, was constituted as City Hall own by segregation of the Council of Murcia.
The Plaza del Ayuntamiento changed its usual appearance and it was attended by more than 50 people, dressed in costumes from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, making us go back in time and recreating our history, filling the streets of Torre-Pacheco, life and color, under the watchful eye of neighbors who did not miss the opportunity to take a photo with them.
The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the president of the Association José Antonio Martínez, took the opportunity to visit the exhibition "Between four corners: traces of a town", located in the Town Hall square until November 1 .
