Today, September 21, we commemorate World Alzheimer's Day, an event instituted by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Alzheimer's disease is the leading cause of dementia, accounting for up to 70% of cases.

Throughout the week, the Alzheimer's Association and other Neurodegenerative Dementias of Cartagena and Comarca (AFAL) have set up information and awareness-raising forums to commemorate World Alzheimer's Day in Torre-Pacheco.

AFAL, provides its services on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning at the Torre-Pacheco Day Center.

Highlighting the realization of workshops on physiotherapy and cognitive stimulation, individual physiotherapy and home, and family counseling.
