Last Wednesday the Technical Meeting of Public Safety met to analyze the measures adopted in recent months with the aim of stopping the activity of organized crime.
Local Police and Guardia Civil, along with Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Salvador Sanchez Saura and Torre Pacheco Mayor Antonio León Garre participated in this working meeting whose objective, according to Sánchez Saura, was "to review and coordinate actions and devices in all matters concerning citizen security in the municipality and coordinate the preventive work during the next months.
The joint action of Local Police and Civil Guard in certain operations and preventive measures, increased surveillance in the most vulnerable areas and traffic controls have been some of the issues addressed in order to maintain the highest level of safety efficacy in Torre- Pacheco and its districts, showing special interest in the patron saint festivities in October due to the large number of people who visit and participate, for which Sánchez Saura appealed to all citizens and "these days pass normally, without incident and exemplary civic behavior. "
During the holidays, the security device will be coordinated by Local Police and Civil Guard, according to Sanchez Saura, "the coordination and joint action of both bodies is the best way to optimize resources and be able to cover all acts preserving Security Citizen ".
This meeting serves as a prelude to the Local Security Board scheduled for the first week of October in which there will also be Government Delegation, members of Local Police headquarters, Civil Guard, National Police (Foreign Brigade) and General Directorate of Public Safety and Emergencies.
