The President of the Community, Fernando López Miras, attended today the procession in honor of the Virgen del Rosario, patroness of Torre Pacheco, where he stressed that the regional government works in the declaration of Regional Tourist Interest of the patron saint festivities of the municipality.
In addition, he stressed that the regional government has made possible the restoration of the stature of the Virgen del Rosario, a sculpture by José Sánchez Lozano at the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century, which has recovered its original polychrome and therefore " shines with all its splendor like Mother of all the pachequeros ".
López Miras highlighted the commitment of the regional government with "recovery and conservation of regional heritage" and recalled that "this holiday is celebrated today in many localities of the region, which demonstrate the faith and tradition that delves into our peoples."
