The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Youth, Employment and Training, Inmaculada Concepción Martínez, the Director of the School of Primary Education and Fontes, Miguel Angel Frutos, together with the Local Police Officer responsible for Department of Road Education, Salvador Martínez, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation, and agent Ana María Marín, have been in charge of making the opening ceremony of the School Road Education Course 2017-2018, at 9:30 am of this morning, in the classroom of 6º A of the mentioned CEIP Fontes.

With this act, the theoretical classes of the above mentioned School Course begin, which are carried out in the classrooms of the 11 educational centers of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, which are addressed to 96 different groups of students, from 3 to 6 of Primary Education, an estimated total of almost 2,200 students, who will receive the talks established in the Program, and will carry out activities within their classrooms until February 19, 2018, when the theoretical phase will be closed and some days later, the practical phase will begin at the Torre Pacheco Children's Traffic Park, located at the back of the Integral Security Center.

The theoretical classes that are carried out with the students are composed in the first session with the presentation of the project, a talk-colloquium on the importance of Road Education, and the realization of the pre-test;

in the second session, the children, according to age and level, receive an exposition of contents based on behavioral rules such as Pedestrian and Traveler, behavioral rules on bicycle driving, and a study of said vehicle, Signaling, etc., also projects a cartoon film related to such content, and is taught to look for content using a tool as current as the Internet, they are also entrusted with a job to be delivered at the next session;

and finally, the third and final session, will be composed of the delivery of the work commissioned in the previous session, and the completion of the post-test.
