Plastic artist, creative designer, fascinated by the figure of her great grandfather Juan de la Cierva, pilot of autogiros, founder of the Association Juan de la Cierva Codorníu, Laura de la Cierva, visited the municipality of Torre-Pacheco, to know the relationship that he united his great-grandfather with our locality.
The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, showed a de la Cierva, the area where the family villa was located, as well as the street that bears the name of "engineer Juan de la Cierva" and is in the same neighborhood.
Luis Manzanares, in his book "Historia de Pequeñas Historias", dedicates a chapter to the engineer Juan de la Cierva, called "Cierva Codorníu and his paper airplanes", and who transports us to 1919 , where a young man from la Cierva spent time at his house in Torre-Pacheco, and shared his time with the neighbors of Torre-Pacheco.
